Davangere, Aug. 1: A teacher development programme on POCSO and POSH awareness was conducted at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Davangere. Welcoming the gathering, Smt. Roopa stressed the importance of creating a safe, secure and respectful environment in educational institutions.
- The awareness session was led by Smt. Suma, Head of the Hindi Department, explaining the objectives and importance of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act. She highlighted the roles and responsibilities of teachers in ensuring the safety, security and well-being of students and staff within the school premises.
- Smt. Suma also explained the various forms of abuse and harassment, the importance of identifying and reporting inappropriate behaviour, maintaining professional boundaries and the school’s child protection and grievance redressal procedures. He stressed the need to create a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment where every child and staff member feels protected and valued.
ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಆ. 1: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ POCSO ಮತ್ತು POSH ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕುರಿತು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರೂಪಾ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಯುತ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
- ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸುಮಾ, ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ (POCSO) ಕಾಯ್ದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ತಡೆ (POSH) ಕಾಯಿದೆಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆವರಣದೊಳಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ, ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ಖಾತ್ರಿಪಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
- ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸುಮಾ ಅವರು ನಿಂದನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಿರುಕುಳದ ವಿವಿಧ ರೂಪಗಳು, ಅನುಚಿತ ವರ್ತನೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ವರದಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆ, ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಗಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಂದುಕೊರತೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಗು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ರಕ್ಷಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸುವ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ, ಅಂತರ್ಗತ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಯುತ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
