Davanagere, Sept. 25: The 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’ was celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Davanagere.
- Following the hoisting of the national flag, all students and teachers gathered to sing the National Anthem.
- Subsequently, the song ‘Vande Mataram’ was sung collectively.
- Sri Manjunath S., Head of the Social Science Department, delivered an insightful speech regarding the 150-year journey of ‘Vande Mataram’.
- He explained that Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay composed ‘Vande Mataram’ and detailed the historical background behind its creation. He highlighted how the song became a powerful symbol of patriotism during India’s freedom struggle and how it inspired people with courage, unity, and devotion to the motherland.
- Sri Shambhulingappa, the Convener of RVK, addressed the gathering; he emphasized the importance of understanding and respecting our rich national heritage and encouraged students to imbibe the values of patriotism, unity, discipline, and responsibility in their daily lives. He called upon the students to carry forward the spirit and ideals represented by ‘Vande Mataram’.
ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಸೆ. 25: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ -ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ‘ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂ’ನ 150ನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
- ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣದ ಬಳಿಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು.
- ತದನಂತರ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕವಾಗಿ ‘ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂ’ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
- ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಎಸ್. ಅವರು ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂನ 150 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಪಯಣದ ಕುರಿತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
- ಬಂಕಿಮ್ ಚಂದ್ರ ಚಟ್ಟೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯರು ‘ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂ’ ಅನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದರು ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಅದರ ರಚನೆಯ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಸವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಭಾರತದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಚಳವಳಿಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಗೀತೆಯು ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಪ್ರಬಲ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಧೈರ್ಯ, ಏಕತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾತೃಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ತುಂಬಿತು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
- ಆರ್‌ವಿಕೆಯ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಂಭುಲಿಂಗಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ, ಏಕತೆ, ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ‘ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂ’ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುವ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆದರ್ಶಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
