Davangere, Sept. 6: Children of Rashtrottana Vidya Kendra – Davangere participated in the “Rani Abbakka Rath Yatra” program organized by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat Davangere at Abhinava Renuka Mandir on the occasion of the 500th birth anniversary of Abhaya Rani, Veer Rani Abbakka.
At the program, guests spoke about Rani Abbakka’s bravery, patriotism, sacrifices and leadership as a symbol of women’s power. Abbakka Rani’s bravery in fighting against the Portuguese and foreign invaders was remembered and today’s youth were invited to draw inspiration from her life. The guests shared information on women’s empowerment, patriotism and the need to protect culture. The main attraction of the program was the Rath Yatra, in which students of Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra CBSC Davangere, Venika, Hanvi, Manvi, Virat Sawant, dressed as freedom fighters, participated in the Rath Yatra. Admiring their disguise, the dignitaries presented them with mementos and congratulated them.
ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಸೆ. 6: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅಭಿನವ ರೇಣುಕ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಅಭಯ ರಾಣಿ, ವೀರ ರಾಣಿ ಅಬ್ಬಕ್ಕ ಅವರ 500ನೇ ಜಯಂತೋತ್ಸವದ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ “ರಾಣಿ ಅಬ್ಬಕ್ಕ ರಥಯಾತ್ರೆ” ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ರಾಣಿ ಅಬ್ಬಕ್ಕ ಅವರ ಶೌರ್ಯ, ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ, ಅಹುತಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾದ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಅಬ್ಬಕ್ಕ ರಾಣಿಯವರು ಪೋರ್ಚುಗೀಸರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದೇಶಿ ದಾಳಿಕೋರರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಡಿದ ಸಾಹಸವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಇಂದಿನ ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಜೀವನದಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ, ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆ ರಥಯಾತ್ರೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಿಬಿಎಸ್ಸಿ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾದ ವೆನಿಕ, ಹನ್ವಿ, ಮಾನ್ವಿ, ವಿರಾಟ್ ಸಾವಂತ್ ಇವರು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರ ಛದ್ಮವೇಷವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ ರಥಯಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು. ಅವರ ಛದ್ಮವೇಷವನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ ಗಣ್ಯರು ನೆನಪಿನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
