Davanagere, June 5: World Environment Day was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Davanagere with the theme ‘Stop Plastic Pollution’. Bhumika A. of class 8 spoke on the importance of World Environment Day.Teacher Smt. Shruti spoke on this year’s global theme and motivated the children to contribute to environmental protection through their simple actions at school and home every day.

Students of class 2 performed a dance that showcased the harmony between humans and nature.
ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಜೂ. ೫: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ʼಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್‌ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟಿʼ ಎನ್ನುವ ಥೀಮ್‌ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 8ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಭೂಮಿಕಾ ಎ. ‘ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ವ’ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಳು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶ್ರುತಿ ಅವರು ಈ ವರ್ಷದ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಥೀಮ್‌ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸರಳ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರು.
1 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ‘ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಧ್ವನಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಕಿರುನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು
2ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮಾನವರು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ನೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.
