Student Sinchan A. gave information about the significance of Ratha Saptami and explained the spiritual, cultural and health-related significance of this festival.<br \/>\nStudents performed Surya Namaskar in a group. After Surya Namaskar, Sri Shambhulingappa, the convener of R.V.K. addressed the gathering and explained the significance of Ratha Saptami and said that the sun is the source of energy, health and life. He advised the students to follow a disciplined daily life and understand the value of Surya Namaskar. Sri Vinayak Ranade, a member of R.V.K. also addressed the gathering and strongly emphasized the importance of doing Surya Namaskar every day, saying that regular practice develops physical health, mental fortitude, discipline and concentration.
