Davanagere, Oct 17: Maharshi Valmiki Jayantyotsava was celebrated in association with Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra and Rashtrotthana Samyukta Undergraduate College – Davanagere. The program was started with lamp lighting, floral arrangement, homa-havan and school prayer. Sri Jayanna, the secretary of the organization and the administrative head of North Division, spoke and narrated the story of Ratnakara Valmiki with real examples. Then speaking to Vice Principal Shashidhar Biradar, told about the historical background of the circumstances that contributed to the creation of an epic poem like Ramayana by Valmiki. Students Khushi TP and Shayana gave a speech on Valmiki Jayantyotsava.
ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 17: ಮಹರ್ಷಿ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಜಯಂತ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಪದವಿಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ದೀಪ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲನೆ, ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆ, ಹೋಮ-ಹವನ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಲಾ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಉತ್ತರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಆಡಳಿತ ಪ್ರಮುಖರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಣ್ಣ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ ರತ್ನಾಕರ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿಯಾದಂತಹ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ವಾಸ್ತವಿಕ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಉಪಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶಶಿಧರ್ ಬಿರಾದಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿಯು ರಾಮಾಯಣದಂತಹ ಮಹಾಕಾವ್ಯ ರಚನೆಗೆ ಪೂರಕವಾದ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಾದ ಖುಷಿ ಟಿಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಯನ ರವರಿಂದ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಜಯಂತ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
