Davangere, Nov. 18: Karnataka Rajyotsava and Kanakadasa Jayanti were celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Davangere.
Sri Prasannakumar K., a member of the Mahanagara Palike, graced the program. The music teacher sang the hymn of Kanakadasa. The students spoke about Karnataka Rajyotsava. And described the greatness of Kanakadasa. Children of class 1 and 2 wore disguises in the program.The chief guest remembered the devotion and greatness of the Guru, the importance of the Kannada language and the contribution of Dasa literature to the Kannada language. Various cultural programs were performed by the children.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಕುಮಾರ್ ಕೆ. ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು.ಸಂಗೀತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಕನಕದಾಸರ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಹಾಗೂ ಕನಕದಾಸರ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ 1 ಮತ್ತು 2ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಛದ್ಮವೇಷವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಗುರುವಿನ ಭಕ್ತಿ, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ದಾಸ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವು ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು.ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದ ವಿವಿಧ ಬಗೆಯ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನೆರವೇರಿದವು.
