Davangere, Oct 26: “Children are educated by their families. Respecting elders should be taught right now,” said Sri K. B. Shankar Narayan. He was speaking as the Chief Guest on the occasion of ‘Anubhavdhare’ – Grandparents’ Day herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Davangere. Sri Jayanna, the school secretary, in his introductory speech talked about the experiences of the elders and said that joint families always walk the path of rites and highlighted the importance of elders. Under the guidance of Smt. Aishwarya and Smt. Varada, children worshiped the feet of their grandparents. A cultural program was arranged for the children and fun games for the grandparents.
ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 26: “ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರವಂತರಾಗುವುದು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದಲೇ. ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಈಗಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಕಲಿಸಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ಕೆ. ಬಿ. ಶಂಕರ್ ನಾರಾಯಣ್ ರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅವರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಅನುಭವಧಾರೆ’ – ಅಜ್ಜ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಂದಿರ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಣ್ಣ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ನುಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತ, ಅವಿಭಕ್ತ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಯಾವಾಗಲು ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತ, ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವರದ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಜ್ಜ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯರ ಪಾದಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಜ್ಜ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯರಿಗೆ ಮನೋರಂಜನೆಯ ಆಟಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
